Hong Kong Grand Opera (HKGO) is a “Section 88” tax-exempted non-profit NGO. We are dedicated to propelling opera by creating transcendent operatic experiences through compelling performances. With our full commitment in maintaining artistic integrity, musical excellency, and community engagement, HKGO is set to entertain and inspire our public with our innovative concert programming, opera productions and educational outreach.

HKGO intends to promote the culture of local operatic talents by further strengthening the status of Hong Kong as a major talent incubation hub with aspirational international plans. Our vision is to support local emerging artists by providing them with the framework necessary to grow as performance artists of international standing. Together with Hong Kong Youth Opera, our subsidiary body, we develop homegrown artists by offering specific vocal training, and giving them the platform and opportunities to perform.
